Llangunllo Community Council is aiming to be as open and transparent in its dealings as possible to make available Council information to people resident in this Community. In doing so Llangunllo is following the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The Community Council acknowledges the duty placed upon it by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 to adopt and maintain a publication scheme and has resolved to adopt the new Model Publication Scheme for Local Councils.

Llangunllo Community Council is made up of seven Community Councillors plus one Clerk who is also the Responsible Financial Officer.  Names, addresses and telephone numbers of all Councillors can be found on the notice boards in Bleddfa and Llangunllo.  Clerk’s details are also displayed on notice board as well as Powys County Council website and One Voice Wales website.

As the Clerk only works part-time the Council office is also the Clerk’s home.

Llangunllo Community Council meets every fourth Thursday in each month with the exception of December at 7:30pm and welcomes public interest and involvement, the meetings are open to everyone.  Venues for the meetings alternate between Llangunllo & Bleddfa.

The Community Council has modest resources so therefore have to charge for this information, to account for some of the costs of production.

Anyone can request information in writing or by e-mail. The request must include details of the applicant and the information sought. The applicant has two rights, to be told whether the information is held by local council and to receive the information as a copy or summary, if considered to be in the public interest. The Community Council will have to respond within 20 days of the request. If a fee is required, the Community Council can extend this period up to 3 months until the fee is paid.

EXCLUSIONS

Employment Practice and Procedure

‘Personal records’, i.e. appraisals, employee specific salary details, disciplinary records, sickness records and the like by virtue of being personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Planning Documents

Copies of planning consultations, the Development Plan, Structure Plan, Local Plan and Rights of Way/Footpath maps, all of which are available from the local planning and/or highway authority respectively.

What Charges are there?

Where a member of the public is seeking to obtain a copy of information included in this Publication Scheme, the Council may set reasonable charges for this. Costs are available on application by post to the Clerk and may include photocopying costs, postage (where incurred) and staff time.
